Event Limits - Very Important

Event limits include track, field and relay.  Therefore, Event Total = Track Events + Field Events + Relay Events.

Sub-Bantam, Bantam, and Midgets can enter 3 events.

Youth, Intermediate, and Young Men/Women can enter 4 events.

  • A relay is counted as an event.
  • A field event is counted as an event.
  • A track event is counted as an event.
  • Combined Events (Triathlon, Pentathlon, Heptathlon, Decathlon) do not count as one of your events.

Extremely Important Note

Entry into the USATF Junior Olympic championship series requires an age-verified USATF membership.

Note: Age verifications closed on Sunday, May 30, at midnight.  No new age-verifications can be made at this time.

The SPIRIT track club will handle all paperwork and entry fees for this championship series.

However, the age verification process requires that the athlete's date of birth be verified by the USATF Georgia Association officials before an entry can be made into the meet.

Therefore, it is imperative that parents provide a (legible) birth certificate for the athletes wanting to participate.
  • Electronic (scanned) images of the birth certificate can be sent to Coach Matthew at the email address
  • Paper copies can be given to Coach Twela or Coach Matthew.
The deadline to submit these birth certificates to the coaches listed above is Thursday, May 20.

The deadline to submit meet entries (see form below) is Friday, May 21.

Note: Some athletes may have an age-verified USATF membership from prior years of competition.  The Spirit coaching staff will (if possible) renew the expired membership, precluding the need for age "re-verification."
