Breaking News
  • See venue map attached below.
  • We need volunteers.  See below.
  • Meet starts at 9:00 am, not 8:00 am.
  • The only field event contested will be the high jump.  The grass field is too wet and muddy to host other field events.
  • "While they do have eight lanes, lane 1 is peeling up and they have decided not to run in it. So we are down to seven lanes only."  For the non-laned events (800m, 1500m, 3000m) I'll try to find out if we can run in lane 1 on the turn.

  • Alpha Crush has been asked to provide Clerking for this meet
  • As of 5/19, we've been asked to help with Medical and Announcing, too
  • Clerking is the process of taking the pre-printed, provided heat sheets and gathering the athletes for a given track event and heat assignment.
  • Clerking comprises (we need about 10 people per time slot)
    • Hip number assignment (2 - 3 people needed)
    • Bull Pen management (3 - 4 people needed)
    • Escort to starting line (3 - 4 people needed)
  • The first running event begins at 9:00 am, hence the clerking crew needs to arrive at venue by 8:30 am
  • The last events of the day, the relays have been arranged "ad hoc" on the day of the meet.  If so, no clerking is required.
Meet Entry
  • Meet entry deadline - Wednesday, May 18, 8:00 pm.
  • Meet entry page for Alpha Crush athletes can be found here.

  • Note that in the 3000m, 1500m and 800m some events are combined but are not indicated as such in the program.  Coach Matthew's estimate details (see below) show the combined events.  Different age groups and genders are run concurrently on the track, but are scored separately.  For example, it doesn't make sense to run one 15-16 girl in a separate heat in the 3000m; we'll have her run with the 13-14 & 17-18 girls.

    • The difference between the what you asked for and what you are entered in:
      • Exceeding the "Event limits" described below

  • Remember that the Alpha Crush registration fee covers your meet entries.
Event limits
  • Competitors in the 8 and under, 9-10 or 11-12 year old divisions may enter a maximum of three individual events.
  • Competitors in the 13-14, 15-16 or 17-18 year old divisions may enter a maximum of four individual events.
  • Additionally, Competitors may also enter the 4x100 and/or 4x400 relay events.
List of Running Events
Note about "estimated" times: With the exception of the 3000m run, we cannot tell you with certainty when a particular running event will start.  The "pace" of the meet depends on the number of athletes competing, the number of heats required, and the ability of the meet hosts to keep things running quickly.  This is referred to as a "rolling start"; the next event is started when the previous event is completed.

Coach Matthew's estimates based on number of entries and time it takes to complete a race.  When will your event start?
