Wingfoot Mile vs. Open Mile
  • The fastest Miles in Georgia happen May 22 at Emory University, as top high school, middle school and elite runners face off in the Wingfoot Mile
  • The top 16 high school and middle school runners entered will be selected to compete. Athletes will be selected based on 1600m/1500m seed times from this season.
  • All other athletes are eligible to compete in the Open Mile (9:30 pm) and can register yourself for that event.
  • Contact Coach Matthew if you are interested in competing in the Wingfoot Mile. He will submit your entry to the Meet Director for consideration. Seeding will be based on your 1500m/1600m seed times.
    • 2017 finishing times - girls: 5:50 to 5:20 / boys: 4:56 to 4:44
TRACK EVENTS
Heats for the running events are based on predicted times, gender and age groups.

All participants should report to the start line of their event for check-in. Events can begin as much as 30 minutes ahead of schedule.
  • 5:30 p.m. – Racewalk (400m, 7 & under/1500m, 8+)
  • 5:30 p.m. – Hurdles
    • 110m for M 15-49
    • 100m for M 13-14 & 50-69, F 13-39
    • 80m for M 70 , F 40 & Youth 12 & under
  • 6:00 p.m. – Parent-Child /Coach-Athlete Relay
  • 6:20 p.m. – 4x400m Relay
  • 6:45 p.m. – 50m (10 & under)
  • 7:00 p.m. – 200m
  • 7:30 p.m. – Elite Women - 800m (standard 2:10)
  • 7:35 p.m. – Elite Men - 800m (standard 1:51)
  • 7:40 p.m. – 800m 
  • 8:10 p.m. – Wingfoot Mile – Middle School Girls
