  • Requirement: USATF age-verified membership
  • To be eligible to compete in an event in the Association Championship meet, participation in the Area A meet is a requirement, provided the desired event is contested in the Area A meet. If the event is not contested, you will auto-advance directly to the Association Championship.

Field Events
  • Mini-javelin (only 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12)
  • Long Jump (all age divisions)
  • Shot Put (all age divisions)
Events NOT Contested in Area Meets
The following events WILL NOT be contested at the Area Meets (you will auto-advance to Association). The Association Championship is a 4-day meet; the Area meet is a 1-day meet, so they cannot contest all the events at the Area meet.

  • High Jump
  • Triple Jump
  • Discus
  • 200m/400m Hurdles
  • Hammer
  • Pole Vault
  • 3000m run
  • Steeplechase
  • Race Walks
  • 4x800M relay
  • Javelin for ages 13+ (mini-Javelin is contested, for ages 12 & under)
Entry Restrictions
  • 8 & Under, 9-10 and 11-12 Age Divisions may enter and participate in no more than three (3) events
  • 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18 Men/Women may enter and participate in no more than four (4) events
