The Atlanta Track Club says, for the morning events (but may also be a good idea for the evening events)...
GPS will direct you to exit 283 in Emerson on 75 North.  To get in a little quicker and avoid the traffic we recommend all buses enter from the north by exiting two exits north to exit 288, E Main Street, and head south through downtown Cartersville towards the park. This adds about 5 miles to the trip but will help distribute traffic and allow you quicker access to park.

Atlanta Track Club is offering onsite parking at Sam Smith Park for $10.00 per vehicle, which will cover both days of the event. There is no additional admission fee. Bus parking will be free and also located onsite. Please plan to arrive at least 90 minutes prior to your first race to allow your team plenty of time to park and enter the race venue. Additional paid lots are also available a short walk from the course. See parking map for additional details.

Loading & Unloading
Parents bringing supplies may use the short term unloading area. Cars may not stay parked in this area. Once all items are unloaded, parents must park and return to their equipment. Cars shall not be left unattended in this area.

Athlete Check In
Teams must check in at the start tent adjacent to the start line at least 15 minutes prior to their race. All athletes running in that particular race must be present at check in for instructions and inspection. You cannot check in at your start box (Alpha Crush Box #3 in both races.)

Each athlete will receive a bib with two timing chips attached to the back. Do not bend or fold the bib. The bib must be clearly displayed on the front of the athlete’s uniform. If an athlete runs without a bib, they will not be scored or receive an official time. Bibs are specifically assigned to Varsity, Junior Varsity or Youth. If you run with a Varsity bib in a Junior Varsity race you will not get a time.

The Wingfoot XC Classic is sanctioned by the GHSA and NFHS. As such all races will operate under the competition rules and guidelines set forth by the GHSA.  No GPS watches are allowed to be worn during competition.

Meet Entry
  • Athletes ages 7-14 are eligible for Youth 3k race.
    • This is a change from prior years where only middle school aged athletes were eligible
    • There is an open/community 5k for ages 8+
    • Alpha Crush will register the youth athletes for the youth race
