Review the current meet entries on our web site and the official entry Performance List on Coach O; if the athlete is not on the Coach O list they are not entered into the meet.

This meet entry covers the entire USATF Junior Olympic Outdoor Track & Field Championships for 2013, both the June 1 Area A meet as well as the June 13-16 Association meet, as explained on our Competitive Season page.

Meet entries must be completed by the deadline, Thursday, May 23, 10:00pm Tuesday, May 28, 10:00 pm (deadline extended by Jacqui Collins, USATF Youth Chair). Athletes must be age-verified to compete.

The Area A event schedule is attached at the bottom of this page. Also, see the "estimates.pdf" document for Coach Matthew's estimates of when each event will occur. Remember, these are just estimates.

Note 5/31/2013 10:25 am: A new Area D was created at the last minute (see note below). This means the Area A meet is smaller (by how much, Coach Matthew has not calculated). Take the published estimates "in stride", you may be running the 800m sooner than originally estimated.

Coach Matthew will be working as a USATF official the day of the June 1 meet and will pick up the packet of all bib numbers and entries. He will pass on the packet to the next coach that arrives. Find the team tent.

Note: Due to time constraints, certain events are not contested at the Area A meet. Athletes will be given a bye directly to the Association championship meet. But you must enter these events below. These events of interest to Alpha Crush are not contested at Area A meet:

- 3000m - Note: If you are unable to compete June 1, this is your best event to register for, provided you are in the 11-12 year old age group or older.
- 4x800m
- Steeple chase (15+ age groups)

Important Information Regarding Youth Area Meets This Weekend

Greetings,

In the past 24 hours we have seen our youth membership expand and grow with record numbers for 2013. This welcomed growth has greatly expanded the athlete numbers for our planned Youth Area Meets for June 1, 2013. This is a wonderful concern to have.

The USATF Georgia Association Board and the Youth Committee have added an additional venue to support the large numbers of registered athletes for the USATF 2013 Area Meets (2397 total) originally scheduled across two venues for June 1, 2013.

In order to accomplish this, we will be adding an additional venue; it will be Westlake High School in Atlanta, GA, to accommodate the growing numbers.

The youth committee has and is working very hard to ensure athlete safety, success and a quality event for all.

The 'new' Areas will be as follows:

Area (A) North - Alpha Crush is in Area A
Area (B/C) South
Area (D) Westlake

A small group of teams are being asked to move to Westlake High School to contest their Area Meet scheduled events.

We have over 80 teams and 100 unattached athletes competing in our Area meets this weekend. This will allow the meets to be smaller and to run more efficiently while maintaining the quality that USATF Georgia Association strives to maintain.

Your support for this added venue and movement for the new Area location is a testament to your passion and dedication to our Georgia men, women, boys and girls.

We thank the USATF GA Board of Directors for supporting this "very last" minute activity.
