Meet link - https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/meet/504713/info
Event Address: 400 Arnold Mill Rd Woodstock, GA 30188
Gate will open at 6:20 am.
Please have a representative stop by our HOST TENT to grab your meet packets for your team's bibs and pins.
Concessions will be available for cash or credit purchase. Warm grill items will be available: hamburgers, hot dogs, and fries. Ice Cream/Paleta cart will be available for cold treats.
Coaches Meeting will be in the infield @7:00am.
FIELD EVENTS:
Make sure your athlete's note the rotating Age-Groups schedule for field events which start CHECK-IN @7:15am. We will have two dedicated announcers calling age-groups and events throughout the day.
All our field events will be fully staffed by parent volunteers, please give them grace and patience. Coaches, if you see a need anywhere, fill a need. If anything, please bring it to my attention. You can call/text me anytime!
If you have any particular Field Event apparatus that you would like to supply for your athlete, you are welcome to bring them. We do have all the shots/javelin sizes and weights.
Inform your atheletes - When the races start, Races take priority over Field events. So (if their age-group is called to a field event at the same time as a race event) they must check-in with the Lead Field Event volunteer and let them know they are going to their running event instead first. We have informed our parent volunteers to give grace to all the new atheletes that are still learning this, and We need your help making sure they know.
RUNNING EVENTS:
Timer is First Call Timing - https://www.firstcalltiming.com/
First call for races will start @8:00am. Running events will be run Youngest to Oldest and Girls then Boys.
Inform your athletes where to find the CLERKING TENT in the Infield to get checked-in. Make sure they know to stay on the INFIELD in the Bull Pen/Staging Area after checking-in.
If we can not find your athlete after check-in, we will continue with the race. This is especially important with the relays. You will need to make sure all 4 runners check-in at the same time when they check-in for their relay - no exceptions.
Please keep your team areas clean. We ask that at the end of the meet for all clubs to police their areas and the venue for trash and help us dispose of it. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Event limits
Competitors may enter a maximum of three individual events.
Additionally, Competitors may also enter the 4x100 and/or 4x400 relay events. Historically, Alpha Crush does not typically have enough entries to form a relay team. But, if you stick around to the end when relays are run, we can find a team to put you on.
Athletic.net - this is the link to the *real* meet entries ... be sure to review for accuracy!
With the exception of the first running event, we cannot tell you with certainty when a particular running event will start. The "pace" of the meet depends on the number of athletes competing, the number of heats required, and the ability of the meet hosts to keep things running quickly. This is referred to as a "rolling start"; the next event is started when the previous event is completed.
Having said that, following the meet entry deadline, Coach Matthew will prepare and provide a link to a spreadsheet that lists estimated starting times for each event. These time estimates are based on experience of how long a particular event takes, the order in which the events occur, and the number of athletes entered in each event..
Note the "as of date/time" in the footer of the report.
Estimates are more accurate after registration closes and Coach Matthew has had time to process the data.
The estimated starting times below in parenthesis (eg. ~9:15am) are based on historical data not entry data for this particular meet. Coach Matthew will provide more detailed *estimates* once registration closes and the number of athletes and heats are determined.
