Meet - Georgia Middle School and Club State Championship - October 11, 2025

Where

• Bleckley County High School, 1 Royal Drive, Cochran, GA 31014

• The entrance for spectators and athletes is Bleckley County High School, 1 Royal Drive, off  Chester Rd. (Highway 126). 

  • There will be signs directing spectators where to go before they get to venue. 

  • Google Map to the exact entrance for parking, which is the red marker on the Google map at the bottom of this page. This is the Alpha Crush entrance to parking.

    • Ideally, don't make the left turn off Hwy 23 to Dykes Rd / Hwy 26. That will take you to the bus parking north of the course. You *can* park there, it's just a longer walk to the team tent.

    • Instead, stay on Hwy 23 and make a left on Chester Rd / Hwy 126. Then, you make a left turn to the south entrance to the high school.

• The Alpha Crush team tent will be in the field adjacent to the starting line field. 

  • See Course Information / Course Map below. 

  • There is a team tent area near the elementary school, but that is very crowded and filled up by the time we get there in the afternoon.

• There will also be designated parking spaces for handicapped individuals so please let your parents/grandparents know so they can be aware of this.

• $10.00/vehicle parking fee. This $10.00 includes admission to the meet for everyone in that vehicle. With the club races being the last three events of the day (after 9 other races) parking usually isn't an issue.

Schedule

Note that they have changed the meet configuration and there is a new schedule for 2025. 

• There are three public school divisions and one division for "everybody else", private schools, clubs, and unattached athletes.

• There are three (3) races in each Division

• • Boys Championship Race (up to 7 athletes)

• • Girls Championship Race (up to 7 athletes)

• • Boys & Girls combined (no limit)

Divisions

Public school divisions based on the March 2024 full time equivalent (FTE) count.

• Division 1 – public schools with 1-700 students

• Division 2 – public schools with 701-1100 students (based on March 2024 FTE count)

• Division 3 – public schools with 1101+ students (based on March 2024 FTE count) 

• Division 4 - Private Schools / Clubs / Unattached – 8th grade & below

Athletes in Club race must be 8th grade or under. No high school athletes allowed in Club race.

There are 9 races prior to the Division 4 races we compete in. We are the last events of the day. 

• 1:00 pm Division 4 Junior Varsity (JV) - girls & boys combined - 2-mile / 3218m (everyone outside of our top 7)

• 1:30 pm Division 4 Boys Championship - 2-mile / 3218m (our top 7)

• 2:00 pm Division 4 Girls Championship - 2-mile / 3218m (our top 7)

We will enter our top 7 athletes who wish to compete in the championship division. All others will compete in the JV division.

Award Medals

• Team trophies Top 4 teams in championship races and Top 1 team in JV races

• Individual awards (trophies) to Top 3 in championship races

• Individual medals to 4th - 25th in championship races and medals to Top 25 in JV races
