2021 USATF National Youth Outdoor Championships COVID-19 Requirements

  • These updated requirements were found on the USATF website

  • Tested and vaccinated confirmation documents must be presented at packet pick-up. All documents will be retained and secured by USATF.

  • Packet pick-up is located at the Marriot Courtyard – Rome Riverwalk, located at 320 West 3rd Street, Rome, Georgia 30165 (directly across the street from Barron Stadium). We ask that you please allow enough time for packet pick-up prior to arriving at competition venue.

Athletes

    • All athletes must present proof of a negative COVID-19 test dated no earlier than June 14, 2021 or confirmation of full vaccination (2 Moderna/1 Pfizer/1 J&J)

    • Yes, I know that Pfizer is two doses ... sounds like they made a mistake.

    • Athletes that have received one dose of the two dose vaccinations (Moderna/Pfizer) must present confirmation of a negative COVID-19 Antigen test.

Coaches

    • Coaches are required to present confirmation of full vaccination in order to access the athlete warm-up area.

    • Coach credentials will be approved with the following requirements:

      • Listed on the Coaches Registry which confirms that all requirements have been met (education standards/SafeSport mandates/background screening/listed on club profile)

      • Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated

  • Vaccination: The CDC definition of fully vaccinated is >2 weeks after the full course of vaccination.

  • Test: The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test is the approved type of test.

  • All athletes must show proof of a negative test within 7 days of their competition date OR show proof of vaccination.

  • Spectators will be asked to show proof of a negative test within 7 days of their attendance date OR show proof of vaccination. If unable or unwilling to show proof, spectators will be limited to a specific area of the venue.

  • Officials must show proof of vaccination. Vaccination is required; not a negative test.

  • Coaches, who meet USATF coach criteria for free admission, must show proof of vaccination in order to receive a coach’s band. Vaccination is required; not a negative test.

Event limits

  • 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12 Age Divisions may enter and participate in no more than three (3) events

    • 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18 Men/Women may enter and participate in no more than four (4) events
