Middle School events:

The following are middle school events with limited entries (2 or 3 athletes per event). Coach Matthew is inviting and allowing a subset of our athletes to participate. Most of these middle school meets allow athletes to register themselves if I cannot register them as part of our club team due to entry limits.

    • Mar 13 - Marietta Middle School Invite, Marietta High School

    • Apr 3 - Atlanta Track Club Spring Track Meet #1

    • Apr 10 - Marietta Middle School Tune-Up, Marietta High School

    • Apr 23 & 25 - Georgia Middle School State Championships, Parkview High School

The following are open to all ages with no entry limits per event:

  • Apr 17 - Intra-squad Family Day Meet at Northwestern Middle School (our own "practice" meet)

  • May 1 - Developmental Meet at River Ridge High School

    • May 8 - Developmental Meet at Etowah High School

  • May 15 - Developmental Meet at Sequoyah High School

  • May 22 - Alpha Crush vs Atlanta Track Club Youth at Milton High School

    • May 29 - Developmental Meet at Walton High School

The following are USATF events, open to all USATF age divisions:

      • A Valid USATF Membership is required for all these meets.

      • USATF Age Verification needed for meets where specified.

    • Historically, the Junior Olympics progression goes from...

      • Association

      • Region

      • National

      • ...with qualifying each step of the way.

      • For the 2021 Track season there is no Junior Olympics progression from Area to Association to Region to National championships. Instead each meet is independent of the other.

  • Jun 5 - USATF Georgia Area A Meet, Central High School, Carrollton, GA

    • Entry deadline: Tuesday, June 1, 8:00 pm

    • Jun 17-20 - USATF Georgia Track & Field Championships, McDonough High School, McDonough, GA

    • Jun 23-26 - USATF National Youth Outdoor Championships, Rome, GA

    • The Youth Outdoor Championship has no "progression", it is a standalone meet, but normally with qualifying standards to be able to enter. For 2021, no standards, anyone can enter. As an example, here are the standards from 2019.

    • COVID-19 Guidelines

      • Vaccination: The CDC definition of fully vaccinated is >2 weeks after the full course of vaccination.

        • Test: The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test is the approved type of test.

        • All athletes must show proof of a negative test within 7 days of their competition date OR show proof of vaccination.

        • Spectators will be asked to show proof of a negative test within 7 days of their attendance date OR show proof of vaccination. If unable or unwilling to show proof, spectators will be limited to a specific area of the venue.

        • Officials must show proof of vaccination. Vaccination is required; not a negative test.

        • Coaches, who meet USATF coach criteria for free admission, must show proof of vaccination in order to receive a coach’s band. Vaccination is required; not a negative test.

    • Jul 8-11 - USATF GA/SC Battle for the Peach Track & Field Championships, McDonough High School, McDonough, GA

    • Jul 26-Aug 1 - USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships, University of North Florida, Jacksonville, FL

      • Entry deadline: Thursday, July 15, 8:00 pm

      • USATF Age Verification required

      • Meet Information / Meet Schedule

      • Limited number of entries per event; see 2021 Guidelines

        • Athletes with faster/better seed times will get priority in the maximum entry limits.

        • Historically, when Junior Olympic advancement is in place, the top 5 in the region championships from each of the 16 regions would advance, 80 athletes.

        • In other words, it is possible your entry into the meet will not be accepted (per the guidelines.)

    • Note: All athletes must enter a verifiable time/mark into athletic.net upon registration. Times must be achieved using fully automatic timing (FAT). All hand times will be converted to FAT.

      • If your athlete does not have a seed time for the event because they didn't run that event this season, we will not be able to enter them into the meet.
