  • Disposition of team and athlete entries will be made final after the Friday deadline. The report above and the information below will give you the current state of affairs, but until all declaration requests are in final determinations cannot be made.

  • Coach Matthew must manually create entries in Athletic.net from the entries selected by Alpha Crush parents & athletes on this web site. This is done periodically.

  • How to read the Athletic.net meet entries

    • If your athlete is listed with a normal font they are entered in the meet.

    • If your athlete is listed with a strike through font they are not entered in the meet.

    • If your athlete is not listed on the report they are not entered in the meet.

    • If your athlete has a lock symbol by their name, it signifies "Athlete qualified at prior meet". It is informational only and has no bearing on the entry status.

      • The time value next to your athlete's name, if any, is their previous best time or qualifying time. It is informational only and has no bearing on the entry status.

      • The letter B, C, D, etc. out to the right of your athlete's name signifies they are on Team B, Team C, Team D, etc. If no letter or blank, they are on Team A.

      • Note that a specific age division / gender may span more than one page.

    • USATF Rule 306.3(c) as described on The Competitive Season - Cross Country 2019 and copied here.

    • The composition of the team at each round can change if you submit a change form at the registration at packet pickup at least 2 hours prior to the race and any athlete changed must be listed on the declaration roster [in Athletic.net].

      • This means I can make changes to the members of Team A, B, C, etc up to 2 hours prior to each race.

  • 11/10/2019 This list of Meet Entries from Athletic.net is dynamic and not set in stone. I need to hear from all eligible athletes before final determinations are made. If your athlete was an individual qualifier, no problem, you are in. If your athlete is a declaration roster athlete and is depending on a team berth, final decision will be made once I hear from all interested athletes. Note that I cannot place a roster athlete on a team until I have declarations from 4 other eligible athletes.

  • 11/14/2019 1:05 pm - 13-14 boys: At this time I have 9 total athletes wanting to participate, 7 individual qualifiers and 2 roster athletes and 1 qualifying team (up to 8 athletes). I need to move 1 of the individual qualifiers to Team B to make room on Team A for the 2 roster athletes, as they are required to be part of a team in order to complete. I'm waiting for Athletic.net to create the Team B for me so I can assign individual qualifier to that team.

  • 11/14/2019 8:00 pm - 13-14 boys: At this time all members of Team A at the Association meet (they were also the top 8 finishers for Alpha Crush) have declared "yes" they want to compete at Region 4. I can accept only 1 additional athlete to fill the team. At this time our 11th finisher has declared to compete. I have moved our 7th finisher to Team B to make room for this athlete (basically, replacing 25th place with 68th place) as that athlete is an individual qualifier and can run as an individual. The 11th finisher is on the bubble; if our 9th or 10th place athletes declare to compete, they will have priority. I do not want to compromise our Team A any more than I have ... this gives us 6 athletes who finished in the Top 25 at Association.

  • 11/15/2019 9:25 am - 13-14 boys:Our 9th finisher from Association Championship has replaced our 11th finisher for the last Region 4 spot. We now have our top 9 finishers from Association entered into the Region meet. There will be no changes to this age division unless one of these 9 decides not to go. I moved our final individual qualifier (25th place overall, 7th on the team) to Team B to make room for an additional athlete on Team A. We qualified 1 team, giving us ability to choose 8 athletes from the roster. I decided to put together the best team possible (having our top 6 finishers from Association meet on the team) and giving 1 additional roster athlete the opportunity to compete. I chose not to move our 6th runner to Team B to make room for our 11th runner.
